5-Axis CNC Machining with the Haas UMC-750

5 axis CNC Machining

New Equipment: 5-Axis CNC Machining – Haas UMC-750

We’re proud to announce the expansion of our 5-axis CNC machining services with the addition of a new Haas UMC-750 universal machining center. This investment allows us to machine complex, multi-sided parts with greater accuracy, fewer setups, and improved repeatability. As part designs continue to increase in complexity and tolerance requirements tighten, 5-axis machining has become essential for producing high-precision components efficiently and consistently.

The Haas UMC-750 is a full 5-axis machining center featuring an integrated trunnion table. This configuration enables simultaneous movement across all five axes, allowing multiple faces of a part to be machined in a single setup. The result is improved dimensional control and more consistent results from part to part.

Key benefits include:

✔ Fewer setups, improving true position and feature-to-feature accuracy
✔ Shorter lead times by reducing secondary operations
✔ Improved surface finishes on contoured and angled features
✔ Greater repeatability for production and long-term programs

By machining more features in a single operation, we reduce part handling and maintain tighter control over critical dimensions.

Built for Complex and Tight-Tolerance CNC Machining

The UMC-750’s rigid construction and trunnion-style rotary axes provide stable cutting conditions, even during aggressive multi-axis toolpaths. This makes it well suited for:

✔ Complex milled components
✔ Parts with compound angles and intersecting features
✔ Tight true position, profile, and angular tolerance requirements
✔ Programs requiring consistent, repeatable precision

This capability allows us to support more demanding applications while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.

Precision CNC Machining with Advanced Control

Equipped with the Haas Next Generation Control, this machine supports advanced probing, tool management, and real-time process monitoring. These features help ensure consistent setups, verified offsets, and controlled machining conditions throughout production.

The UMC-750 is fully integrated into our inspection and quality workflows, allowing critical features to be validated from first article through ongoing production.

What This Means for Our Customers

With the addition of this 5-axis machining center, we now offer:

✔ Expanded 5-axis CNC machining capability
✔ Improved accuracy on complex, multi-sided parts
✔ Faster turnaround times for high-precision components
✔ Greater in-house control over demanding machining programs

Most importantly, this investment allows us to deliver higher-quality parts with greater consistency—reducing risk and simplifying supply chains for our customers.

A Strategic Investment in Long-Term Capability

This was a deliberate investment to strengthen our machining capabilities and support the evolving needs of our customers. The Haas UMC-750 enhances our ability to take on complex CNC machining work while maintaining tight control over quality, lead time, and repeatability.

If you’re looking for reliable 5-axis CNC machining services for complex or tight-tolerance parts, we’d be happy to review your print and discuss how this capability can support your next project.
