Quality Control Inspector Job Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented QC Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with precision measurement tools, understands aerospace/defense-level quality standards, and is committed to accuracy and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMM, and other precision tools
- Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
- Document inspection results and prepare FAIR/AS9102 reports as required
- Work closely with machinists and programmers to address quality concerns
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration standards are met
- Collaborate with machinists and programmers to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support audits or customer reviews.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality role (aerospace/defense preferred)
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO, or similar quality systems
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and GD&T
- Experience with CMM programming/operation (Zeiss or similar) a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and GD&T symbols with accuracy.
- Strong computer skills for using ERP systems, digital inspection tools, and documenting reports.
